Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth tied the knot last month but fans found out a little before the couple were ready to share the news!
Following their super private ceremony, one of Liam‘s longtime friends accidentally shared a photo from the special day even though the couple asked attendees to refrain from posting.
“Whenever they’ve talked about getting married, they’ve always wanted to keep it very small and it just be the family and just be at the house. That’s always been what they wanted. Honestly, Miley’s only friend that was there was her best friend, Jessie, and Liam had a handful of his friends there that were there from Australia,” Miley‘s sister Brandi explained on her Your Favorite Thing podcast.
They invited “a very, very small, tight-knit group of people,” Brandi continued. “Even with family and close friends, they still made a point to say, ‘Hey guys, this is a private thing for a reason. We love you all, but please don’t take photos.’”
Liam‘s friend Conrad Carr seemed to miss the memo though “feels really bad” for sharing the footage on his Instagram. “I didn’t really ask what happened, but I think from what he said, no one told him not to post about it, so he didn’t know.”
In the end, Brandi confirmed that Miley“doesn’t really care” that the public found out that way.
